ELK Studios is very well known for delivering thematic slot games with interesting and exciting premise to them.

Theme
Set in the Middle Ages, more precise in the 13th century during the siege of Acre, as the Templar knights fought for the Kingdom of Jerusalem, this title does a very good job of bringing that excitement of knighthood and honor, akin to the romanticized movies such as John Boorman's "Excalibur".
Which is to say, while the background depicts a fortification under an ominous red sky, music is heroic and uplifting, working well with the fast spinning of the reels.
Graphics are more than decent though the effect of the templar knight slamming his sword to the ground whenever wilds hit the win appears a bit laggy.
Symbols consist of your classic A, K, and Q symbols, accompanied by royals, which follow the theme of medieval warfare.

Our Take
While certainly not the most modern, nor the highest paying slot release out there, ELK Studios’ Crusader is nevertheless very entertaining and exciting to play. This is mostly due to the sticky Wilds and the expansion symbol that can rearrange a 26 payline slot into a 98-pay line one.
The RTP could be a bit higher and the slot’s evasive nature due to higher variance will make you sweat before you land a significant win, but if the features land in the proper order, there is a generous reward that may make it all worth it in the end.
