Location-based online slots have been few and far between, but when they're done well, they can make quite an impact. While Rival Gaming isn't always known for producing games with exceptional graphics, they've actually done a good job with the Champs-Elysees slot, a game based on a Paris vacation getaway for a lucky woman. This game is heavy on the pink, so it might not appeal to all audiences in terms of visuals, but it definitely delivers when it comes to the gameplay values of the slot.
Game Layout
The format of this game uses 50 paylines, and there are five reels and three rows. This is a slightly less common format, but there are still plenty of games that use it. Coins range from $0.01 to $0.25 apiece, and you can bet up to 10 coins per payline. This means you're getting an extremely wide range of bet sizes that start at $0.50 per spin and go up to $125 per spin, assuming you have all paylines activated. While you can play with fewer than the maximum number of paylines if you really want to, it will hurt your average payout rate in this game.
Expanding Wilds
The Eiffel Tower is wild in this game. It also expands to cover the entire reel. You can only find it on the first, third and fifth reels, but it holds a tremendous amount of value. Not only does this wild expand, but it also gives a 3x multiplier during the free spins feature on any win that uses at least one of them in a combination, so that's a pretty incredible amount of value that you're getting from one symbol. Putting this much value into one aspect of the gameplay does increase the volatility a bit, but it adds a lot of excitement as well.
Free Spins Bonus Feature
If you get three or more of the post card scatter symbol, then you'll be given free spins. Three of them earns 10 free spins, four earns 20 and five earns 40. During your free spins, the wilds become 3x wild multipliers. It's easy to see that a lot of value is packed into this bonus feature as well, and that means that the post cards can easily be seen as the second most important symbol in the game.
If you pick up three or more of the Paris map icons during the free spins, then you can trigger a second bonus stage. This works by taking you on a virtual shopping trip. You can click on different shops on the screen that appears, but instead of spending coins, you'll be earning them with an instant win that comes from each shop you click. This adds even more value into the already ridiculously valuable bonus round.
High-End Payouts
There are four symbols that make up the higher end of payouts in this game. It starts with the high heel shoes, which pay 1,600x for five of a kind. You can earn a sizable 1,000x win for five of the purse or 640x for five of the chocolates. A win worth 400x is available for five of the wine and cheese as well. All of these are symbols of a Paris shopping adventure, which is exactly what this game is based around, but they also temper the volatility found from the expanding wilds on three reels and the multiplier on them that comes during the bonus feature.

Five of the bread and coffee will pay 320x, and five of the crepes earns players a 240x win. The rest of the symbols are the A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 symbols, all of which have been stylized in pink and white. A 200x win for five A's or 160x for five K's is still a solid win for low-end payouts. Overview
Looking over this game as a whole, it provides a lot of action and a value-packed bonus feature. The volatility is in the middle of the road with a fairly balanced pay table overall, though the wilds do add something to it. The free spins feature with the second level bonus round available gives you something exciting to look forward to. Overall, we think this is a very solid game, and it's one of the better looking titles that Rival Gaming has released. Some people won't like the pink theme, but that's the only real downside.
