Introduction

Launched in 2019 with the stated goal to “treat you like a friend and not a simple customer” Craze Play is operated by Gammix Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of Malta and with a license by the Malta Gambling Authority.

The casino claims to reject the one size fits all mentality and instead account for individual tastes and preference promising “rewards along the way” and “help as soon we notice you need it”.

With a pretty good selection of games from major names like NetEnt, Microgaming, Play’n Go and smaller studios like Fugaso and Yggdrasil and a selection of live casino offerings from Evolution Gaming how does this new contender stack up?

Let’s find out.

Platforms and Mobile

The site features software from multiple modern developers, like Microgaming and Pragmatic Play and as such, it works on desktop and mobile devices.

Players accessing through their smartphones or tablets will have no problem playing the games regardless of their operating system. Android and iPhone both work excellently since most of the developers featured are known for being mobile-friendly.

The same is true…

…of desktop devices.

Since there is no downloadable client application, the entire offering is accessible as HTML5 and all punters need is stable internet and a modern web browser like Chrome or Firefox.

Slot Selection

As mentioned above, this operator offers some of the biggest names in the iGaming industry like Microgaming, NetEnt, Play’n Go and others.

The selection of games

Is very nice as it includes some old favorites like Starburst and Jurassic Park as well as some more recent offerings like Pragmatic Play’s Monkey Warrior.

Thematically there is a fun selection too…

…as those who enjoy romantic themes can give Immortal Romance a go, while those looking for more action and testosterone-oriented fare need look no further than Terminator 2.

Some titles by fan-favorite developers are available too like Valley of the Gods by Yggdrasil and Olympia by Fugaso.

Such a big selection in one platform is certainly a plus, even more so when it’s taken into account that most of them will work on mobile devices.

The selection this house offers won’t leave many punters without anything interesting to play.

Table Game and Live Options

Of course, while some punters prefer slots others like more to sink their teeth into a more strategic challenge.

And for those players the casino is offering a wide selection of table games such as poker, baccarat, roulette (European, French) and blackjack in many different configurations.

The games are from various developers like NetEnt, iSoftBet, and Quickfire.

Those searching for old-school classics like Deuces Wild video poker will not leave disappointed.

When it comes to live games

There are poker, baccarat, roulette from major providers Evolution Gaming and others.

A minor disappointment while there are a few specialty games like sic bo and keno on offer, they don’t have their own sections and instead, the visitor has to manually search for them.

Deposits and Withdrawals

For real money transactions, the house accepts the traditional credit cards (Visa and MasterCard) and a selection of e-wallets.

There is no support for Bitcoin, however.

The deposit time for all payment methods (except bank transfer which cannot be used to deposit) is instant but the withdrawal times vary with the method used.

For credit cards, it’s 2-5 days after approval with the minimum withdrawal being €20.00. In fact, the minimum amount for withdrawals is the same across all payment methods except wire transfer where it is €100.

The alternative e-wallets that are supported are:

  • Skrill
  • Neteller
  • Playsafecard
  • AstroPay
  • ecoPayz
  • Zimpler
  • Trustly
  • Neosurf
  • Siru Mobile

Players should know that the last two methods are deposit-only, while Trustly does not have a minimum withdrawal amount.

The processing time for e-wallets is instant after approval.

Things to consider before withdrawing:

Craze Play does impose certain rules around withdrawals aside from just setting maximums and minimums.

The most important one

Is that the weekly maximum for withdrawing is only 2500 euros and the monthly is 10000 which we feel is low.

Another thing which will probably disappoint many is that the operator reserves the right to split any wins over 10000 euros into annuities.

Players should also be advised that after they make cumulative deposits of €2000 and over during a 180-day period they will have to go through a verification process which according to the brand is about anti-money-laundering regulations compliance.

Support and Customer Care

Support is available via live chat with agents and email. The lack of a phone option is disappointing.

However, there is a FAQ section on the website, and the Terms and Conditions and Bonus Term sections are clearly marked and easy to read.

When it comes to customer care, the operator hopes to make its motto a reality by offering a five-tier VIP gamification program.

The program in question

Revolves around collecting loyalty points and “craze coins”.

Loyalty points give punters the chance to advance through trough the five-stage program. And the coins are exchanged for bonus cash and extra spins in the “Craze Shop”.

Points and coins are earned through cash wagering.

To entice newcomers, a welcome package is also on offer and there is a regular rotation of different bonuses. For these, it’s best to read through the terms and conditions on the site to be sure what is asked of you as the player.

Our Thoughts

Craze Play struck us as decidedly middle-of-the-road. There is nothing about them that would merit skipping them over, but also nothing that would propel them into the ranks of the really great online venues.

We like that there is a welcome bonus, the FAQ page, and the gamification scheme is very cool.

The disappointments are related to low withdrawal maximums, the fact any win over 10000 euros could be split into installments and the lack of good organization on the website meaning some games will just be buried as there are no proper filters to find them.

Still, there’s no reason not to check them out.
