Slot Layout
There are seven vertical columns and seven horizontal rows in this game, but it doesn't use paylines. Instead, you win when you get a set of at least five matching symbols. What counts as a set is when they are adjacent to each other either horizontally or vertically, but diagonally doesn't count. Randomized Wild Features
The first thing to know about the features in this game is that there are four Norse gods that can give you wilds in different ways. These four features can trigger at random after you have a spin with no wins. Thor will give you from five to nine random wilds on the reels. Odin gives you four wilds, but they come in two groups of two, which makes it much easier to hit winning combinations. Freya creates four clusters of wild symbols until you get at least one win. Finally, you have Heimdall, who puts one wild symbol on each row. They will be a bit spread out in this feature, but you get chances for several wins this way.
How to Level Up
There's a cool leveling system in Viking Runecraft, and from the style of the logo and graphics, it's obvious that this game was somewhat based around the World of Warcraft MMORPG game. There's a pattern shown on a 7x7 grid on the right-hand side of the screen, and that's the pattern you're looking to match to level up. You will fill in each of the highlighted spots on the grid whenever you get a winning combination that includes that spot. You don't have to clear all of the highlighted locations on the same spin. After you get them all, a feature will trigger with one of the four gods.
The Runes of Valhalla
There are five different rune stones that make up some of the major paying symbols in the game. However, when you win with them, you collect them, and when you set up a collection of one of each stone, you'll play the Runes of Valhalla bonus feature. The way this works is that a bonus wheel will spin from the left-hand side of the game. You'll get a chance to win an instant payout based on this spin.
The Charge Feature
Players will find four different charge features with the silver and orange amulet on the left-hand side of the game. You can trigger a random charge feature (from the set of four) after you win with 20 symbols. The Fury of Fenrir, Judgment of Jormungandr, Scorching of Surtr and Lure of Loki all give you extra chances to win.

Overview

It's completely jam-packed with features, and it has a different style of play without traditional paylines that functions more like a gem-matching game.
